And by fashion pictures in the title we mean those which do not include the blogger in it. We are not giving tips on how to pose, but something else rather. As bloggers, at some point or the other we need to take pictures of the latest lipstick we got, or shoes or a dress without wearing them. We have had a lot of How-tos for trends but this is the first of its kind here.
In post-instagram era, it is no longer sufficient to shoot the product on plain background. Some personality needs to show through your pictures. After all a good blog is as much about the written content as the pictures. But we are not showing a 'holier than thou' attitude here. A lot of of our bloggers do think about their pictures consciously and some might not. We are only sharing here a few inspirations and pointers to help everyone think and improve. Hope it helps !!
Few points to keep in mind
>> Interesting surfaces and backgrounds are your best friend. If you are shooting on plain white, then the minimalism too should look well though off. Otherwise choose wisely. We love how our blogger friends at Glamdevils often use a luxe fur backdrop.
>> Adding other relevant accessories is a good thing. Will some flowers look good with that blouse? Include them.
>> Printed surfaces are a great backdrop - we are specifically referring to books and newspapers. Magazine editorials or your printed bed sheet will do too. Think about it !
>> Hanging clothes on paintings, doors and windows is a good idea. Translucent and transparent dresses specifically look good against the window with light filtering in.
>> Jewelry and crockery is a good match. Try hanging your new earrings on a lovely cup.
>> Take your products out in the fresh air, sometimes a great background is waiting for you outdoors.
>> Shoot in good light whenever possible, and do learn some Photoshop tricks. Or simply use Picasa to edit, enhancing is good for your pictures mostly.
